Free for clinicians. Free forever for trainees.

Sigmund's core tools — initial patient analysis, symptom tracking, and the AI scribe — are free for mental health clinicians. The thinking behind that is simple: the clinicians who need good tooling most are often the ones least able to pay for it. So we made the everyday work free and built the business somewhere else.

What we will never do

The last big "free" medical-records company paid for itself by selling physician attention to advertisers, selling prescriber data to pharma, and — eventually — taking money to put sponsored alerts inside the clinical decision. That company paid a $145 million settlement. We built Sigmund so that business model is impossible here.

So how is it free?

Two ways, both honest. The everyday tools run on grant-funded research infrastructure at the Sultan Lab — work that's already paying for the engine. And when the full decision-support layer launches, practices that want it will pay for that. The free tier isn't a loss leader hiding a catch; it's the mission, funded by the part of the business that earns its keep.

How to get access

Sigmund is onboarded by hand, one clinician at a time, so we can sign a BAA and set you up properly. If you run an outpatient practice or you're a trainee who wants in, request access through the waitlist and tell us about your setting. The founder reads every message.

Sigmund is investigational and intended to assist — not replace — clinical judgment. It does not prescribe or bill.
